Sometimes when planning a wedding you want to have a venue that just speaks for itself, and one of those is San Francisco City Hall. It is everything elegance and architecturally brilliant. It’s one of the most popular wedding venues in San Francisco and we cannot wait to share why!
San Francisco brides are excited about City Hall as there are multiple locations to choose from to share one of the most important moments of their life. Choose from Mayor’s balcony which overlooks the Grand Staircase, or have an evening wedding with a reception under the Rotunda.
All About San Francisco City Hall
We love everything there is about San Francisco City Hall, the ornate architecture, the grand staircase, and the amazing location which is centrally located to San Francisco’s amazing nightlife.

There are 5 distinct locations to choose from to have your big day:
Mayor’s Balcony or the Fourth Floor Gallery offer one hour ceremonies Monday through Friday where ceremonies starting at 9:00am and last one starting at 3:00pm. Both spaces overlook the Rotunda and Grand Staircase and have standing room for 100 guests.

On Saturday’s there is a 2 hour ceremony option that allows you to exchange your vows on the Grand Staircase of the Rotunda and can be held from 9am – 12pm.
Lastly San Francisco City Hall has an evening wedding option where you can choose to have your reception in 2 different and both equally amazing spaces, North Light Court and the South Light Court.

Catering and Drinks
A huge part of a wedding is the reception and if you opt for an evening ceremony at San Francisco City Hall you will want to check out these vendors. Whether it’s food, drinks, or an amazing San Francisco DJ that will keep your guests dancing all night, you can’t go wrong with the San Francisco City Hall approved vendors.

Location, Parking and Hotels
One of the things we love about San Francisco City Hall is its location. In the middle of San Francisco Civic Center, San Francisco City Hall is among many performing arts and government buildings. The Civic Center is centrally located to all the best things San Francisco has to offer.
Guests have 2 parking garages available to them, Civic Center Plaza Garage and Performing arts garage, both directly next to San Francisco City Hall. There is a TON of public transportation options for guests.
When it comes to hotels opt for a beautiful boutique hotel in the financial district.
