It’s engagement season and what better way to kick off your wedding planning by attending one of the many wedding shows the Bay Area has to offer. Wedding shows are a great way to find inspiration for your vision of your big day. Planning a wedding can seem a little overwhelming at first knowing you have to find a venue, photographer, caterer, florist, and the list goes on. But attending a wedding show can take some of the stress off. Here are 5 reasons why you should attend a wedding show:

1. Meet Vendors Face-to-Face

When you are first planning your wedding it can be a little scary reaching out to vendors for the first time via email or playing phone tag. When attending a wedding show vendors will set up booths and showcase their work at wedding shows. It’s a great way to meeting local vendors face-to-face and establish a personal connection, you will be able to ask them questions and learn more on what they can offer at your wedding.

2. See the hottest wedding trends

The wedding industry is ever evolving, and if you are like us you have your own Pinterest wedding board with gorgeous wedding inspiration pins. At a wedding show vendors will be show casing the hottest wedding trends, they are at the forefront of the wedding industry. 3. Win Prizes!

Yes, you read it right, many vendor booths offer raffle prizes if you visit their booth. Prizes can range from a free cake, photography sessions, stipend towards a dress, and many more!

4. You don’t know, what you don’t know

Many times when couples are planning their wedding they are basing it off of family and friends weddings that are typically very traditional. You are probably thinking you need to have a dollar dance, the longest married couple dance, a bouquet toss, a formal cake cutting, but wedding traditions are shifting. Your wedding should be a reflection on who you are as a couple.

A wedding show will help give you the confidence that it’s absolutely acceptable to do something new. Who knows, maybe you will be creating the next must have wedding tradition!

5. Save Money!

Wait I can save money at a wedding fair?! … Yes! Many wedding vendors run wedding show discounts and deals. If you book with them that day you can most likely save even more!
